A Certain Place
This archive documents an ongoing study conducted in a certain city. Its subject is a realm that, at the level of initial recognition, bears a strong resemblance to what we understand as the real world. Current observations indicate that this place possesses a complete and legible urban structure: roads, waterways, markets, housing, vehicles, and pedestrian activity all operate according to a stable order. Most spatial arrangements and patterns of living may be regarded as replicas of reality; accordingly, in the early phase of research, this site was provisionally identified as a living environment nearly isomorphic with the real world.

Objects Collected from a Certain Place
This file documents an ongoing study of a certain city. The subject of the study is a country that, based on initial identification, bears a striking resemblance to our understanding of the real world.
This archive records objects collected from this city. Most of them are silent. At first glance they appear unfamiliar, yet on closer inspection they are composed, at least in part, of ordinary everyday things, as if they had once been used by someone, left behind, or simply happened to remain in a certain place, waiting to be picked up. For the time being, we are unable to determine their function, nor can we say why they exist here: whether they are tools or traces; whether they were manufactured or have grown naturally out of some aspect of daily life; whether they are discarded objects or things that have simply not yet been used in the right way remains unknown. Each of these objects deviates, however slightly, from the reality familiar to us, quietly preserving an order that has not yet been explained. They are placed in this archive not because they have already been understood, but precisely because they continue to emit a signal that resists naming—as if, if one were to gaze at them for long enough, the unspoken laws of this city might gradually begin to reveal themselves.
